Dear Parents,

   Thank you, for visiting my page. I am so excited to be a part of your child's learning experience. 

   I earned my degree at Dallas Baptist University and continued my learning in the Pathways Program, an alternative certification route. I am a prior Navy Sailor who has learned the value of hard work and cooperation. Each child that walks through the doors of Acton Elemetary deserves a quality education and that is what I hope to extend to your child.

    (decoding and word meaning, phonetic rules and practice

     spelling tests, check spelling homework, phonics videos)

    8:45 – 9:15          Reading – Cognitive Strategies

    (read alouds, anchor chart, comprehension tests, reteach with prior tests,  sight words)

    9:15 –9:45          Reading – Guided   / Conceptual Refinement

    (RTI, small group, individual oral tests - sight words, fluency phrases, DRA)

    9:45 – 10:45       Specials – PE, Music, or Art

    10:50 – 11:20      Lunch

    11:20 – 11:30       Whole Restroom

    11:30 – 12:00      Writing and Grammar

    (Writer’s Workshop, specific grammar, conferencing)
