Duncanville ISD Career and Technical Education Program of Studies
Duncanville ISD Career and Technical Education offers 15 of the 16 career clusters with 29 career pathways. The career pathways are contained under three endorsements, Business and Industry, Public Service and STEM. Within each of these endorsements, through the 29 career pathways, students have the opportunity to earn various certifications and licenses while in high school. The certifications and license give the students an advantage when they are applying for position in the work community. Duncanville ISD offers all five endorsements, including the Arts/Humanities and the Multidisciplinary Studies.
When viewing the Duncanville ISD Career and Technical Education’s program of studies chart, please note the classes within the pathway are listed in sequential order below each career pathway. Highlighted details identify student leadership organization in which a student can participate, as well as licenses and certifications of which a student can obtain through the career pathway.
At the practicum level all students have the option of substituting 13PBR02-Project-Based Research (11-12)(1) in place of their Practicum class should their schedule only have room for a one block/one credit class.
