Ms. Tia Locke-Simmons

Dear Duncanville High School Parents and Students,

On behalf of our faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the official website for Duncanville High School.   Our Panther Family strives to provide the highest quality education possible for our students so that when they graduate they are ready to compete and succeed in our community and beyond.  Here at Duncanville High School, we are “on the prowl to success.”

The Mission of Duncanville High School is to provide a supportive learning environment with high academic expectations for each student to develop skills to achieve lifelong success and contribute to society.

The Values for Duncanville High School and Duncanville Independent School District are:

We believe students are our first priority.
We model personal integrity and ethical behavior.
We value and respect all students, staff, families, and community members.
We provide a safe, nurturing environment to foster academic excellence and positive relationships.
We embrace continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and mutual accountability for organizational excellence.
We believe every staff member contributes to student success.
In partnership with our families and community, we are continuously striving to create a culture of college and/or career readiness, where our students are on track to meet their goals. We want our students to be college and/or career ready, and we want them to meet the expectations of high standards at Duncanville High School.   We must ensure each student receives the quality instruction and our commitment to academic improvement. Therefore, we have implemented a variety of resources such as open collaboration between teachers and parents, and the use of data to address unique learning styles/gaps.

The success of our students relies on a strong partnership between parents, school, and community.  Together we can help our students be successful! Thank you for partnering with us as we are “Writing success stories one student at a time”.

    Panther Pride!

    Tia N. Locke-Simmons
