Kennemer Middle School

Writing Success Stories One Student at a Time

Principal Message

  •  Dear Parents,

I’d like to formally introduce myself to you. I am Rita Ashley, your interim principal. I may be new to Kennemer Middle School, but I’m a long-time educator with 40 years of experience and a passion for education. My experience includes time in the classroom teaching, working in reading recovery and leading a campus as principal. I truly believe that all students can learn and should be provided the best educational experience possible.

I am a retired elementary school principal, and was invited to support the Kennemer family in this temporary role. I chose to join the Kennemer family because I love teaching and learning, but more importantly I love children and enjoy being a part of their education.

Your previous principal, Monica Smith, has done a wonderful job providing me with the tools to continue the systems she developed. I look forward to getting to know you and your students. If you need to contact me, I can be reached at or 972-708-3600.

Thank you for your commitment to Kennemer as we provide students with a high quality education. Your continued partnership makes all the difference.

    Rita Ashley, Interim Principal
    Kennemer Middle School

    Estimados Padres de Familia,

Me permito presentarme formalmente a ustedes.

    Rita Ashley, Directora Interina
    Escuela Media Kennemer
