Principal's Message

  • It is with abundant joy and admiration that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Kennemer Middle School.  I am honored for this opportunity to serve the students, staff and community members of KMS.  I believe I have joined an extraordinary learning community which puts kids first.  My educational journey started in a small charter school in Dallas ISD as a math and science teacher 16 years ago.  The pathway then led me to teach in Cedar Hill ISD for 8 years and later served as an Assistant Principal in Arlington ISD for 4 years.  Prior to becoming a Kennemer Panther, I served as the Associate Principal in Mansfield ISD for 2 years.

My educational journey has molded my outlook on how I envision the educational experience.  Building positive relationships with staff, teachers and stakeholders is key to a healthy school climate.  I will work daily to establish positive relationships with each group.  My vision is to empower administrators and teachers to strive for new innovative teaching strategies guided by data analysis while culminating in a supportive diverse campus culture for all.  I’ll be your advocate for creating real-world instruction in the classroom to ultimately prepare our students for career and college readiness.

As your Principal, family is important to me.  I have been married for 16 years with 2 overly active teenagers.  Kennemer Middle School will strive to feel like home for every teacher, student and parent who steps through our doors.  Creating a welcoming environment will enable us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in positive, fun, safe and nurturing ways.

I am truly ecstatic to be a Kennemer Panther and I look forward to meeting all the great minds that make Kennemer a special place to work and learn.

    Mrs. Wesco
    Principal of Kennemer Middle School

    Sra. Wesco
