Ms. Jayme Simlin

Jayme Simlin graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Microbiology. At Oklahoma State she worked in various BSL 2 Microbiology Laboratories as an undergraduate researcher, on such topics as cystic fibrosis and dysentery-causing bacteria. During her freshman year she was awarded the opportunity to be a Freshman Research Scholar. After college she entered her first year of Medical School at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, NY under a vigorous post-baccalaureate plan. She received her Master’s degree in Biological Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Physical Science in 2013 and became a certified and licensed Emergency Medical Technician in 2014. In addition to teaching at Duncanville ISD, Ms. Simlin also teaches Anatomy and Physiology at Cedar Valley College. This year at Duncanville High school she teaches Medical Microbiology, Honors Anatomy and Physiology, and Pathophysiology.
