Mr. Womack

My name is David Womack.  I graduated from Radford High School in Hawaii, then I attended Texas Tech University, where I received a B.S. in Chemistry. I also hold an M.B.A. from U.T. Arlington. I began my career at Lubbock High School, then I spent nine years at Cedar Hill High School. This is my 24th year at Duncanville High School and my 35th year of teaching. I have had the privilege of teaching and learning from some amazing students over the years. One of my former students will make his Broadway debut next month (Sept. 2018) and several former students teach at DHS. In 2014 I was honored as Duncanville's Secondary Teacher of the Year, and in April of 2018 I received the Eddie G. Bull Texas Advisor of the Year award for Student Council. Extra-curricular involvement at DHS includes serving as the Student Council advisor, Junior Class advisor, and UIL Science coach and Academic Coordinator. In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my dad and my friends.
