8:00 AM Independence Day Holiday
March 21, 2019
Greetings Acton Families,
We hope everyone enjoyed spring break. This is the last nine weeks of school. We are excited to finish strong this school year and as always your continued support is appreciated.
Thank you for your involvement with events such as All Pro Danish with Dads, Muffins for Mom, Science Fair and PTA events. We will have future academic and PTA events this spring semester. It is vital for students to see the partnership between school and home. Our team is working diligently to provide successful opportunities for our students.
As we work our way towards the end of the school year, our focus will continue to be on student success and ensuring students are ready for the next grade level. There are upcoming assessments that PreK, Kindergarten, First grade and Second grade students will take to demonstrate mastery of grade level skills. State testing is also approaching for our 3rd and 4th grade students with the STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) test. We encourage you to check your child’s homework folder, have focused time to read with your child, as well as review report cards and progress reports with your child. Open communication is key in our partnership. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher if you have a question or would like to know more about your child’s progress.
Below are a few things we would like you to know.
April 9, 2019-4th Grade Writing
May 13, 2019-3rd and 4th Grade Math
May 14, 2019 3rd and 4th Grade Reading
Thank you for all you do and if you have any questions or concerns please contact me at 972-708-2400.
