Principal Message

  • Welcome to the Summit Education Center! The Summit Education Center is the Discipline Alternative Education Program (DAEP) for Duncanville ISD.

It is a great honor to serve as the Principal of the Summit!  This is my 22nd year in education and my first year in DISD. I have served the past eight years as a Principal at the Middle and Alternative High School levels. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University in Biology and my Masters of Education from Midwestern State University in School Counseling.  I received my Post Master Principal Certification from Tarleton State University and my Superintendent Certification through Region XI.

I believe that I have been called to serve in this profession. I am very blessed to be a part of the Duncanville ISD and to serve the community. I believe that all students, given the opportunity, can be successful regardless of their current situation or circumstance.  Every student. Every day. Whatever it takes!
