The Academic Support team provides targeted resources and interventions to help every student reach their full academic potential. By partnering with campuses to identify learning gaps, implement instructional strategies, and monitor student progress, the team ensures all learners—regardless of background or ability—have access to high-quality education and the tools they need to succeed.

Career & Technical Education / College, Career, and Military Readiness / Innovation - Winston Minix, Director
The goal of the Duncanville ISD Career & Technical Education/College,Career & Military Readiness Department is to empower students by providing them the rigorous and relevant instruction, along with real-world experiences, that prepare them for college, careers, military service, and participation in the 21st-century workforce.

Professional Development - Jamie Brown, Director
The Professional Development Department seeks to create a variety of learning opportunities that motivate and inspire our staff to love and excel in the educational profession.

State & Federal Programs - Dr. Sue-Ellen Washington, Director
State and Federal Programs helps to ensure each student has the
necessary resources that provide significant opportunities to
achieve academically, socially and emotionally. Families are the
child's first teacher and it is critical to build the bridge where school
and families work together to help each child succeed.

Assessment and Accountability - Lucretia Newton, Director
The Assessment & Accountability team supports student achievement by managing state and local testing programs, analyzing performance data, and guiding instructional decisions. The goal is to ensure data-driven practices that promote academic growth, meet accountability standards, and empower educators with the insights needed to improve outcomes for all students.
