Family and Community Engagement (FACE)
Our Purpose
The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) program partners with families and schools to support student success. We provide resources, learning opportunities, and connections that help families stay informed, engaged, and confident in supporting their child’s education.
Duncanville ISD’s family engagement efforts are supported in part through the Title I federal program, which provides additional resources to schools and families.
What is Title I?
Title I is a federal program that provides additional funding to schools to support student learning and academic success. These funds help schools provide extra resources and support so that all students have opportunities to succeed.
Schools receive Title I funding based on federal guidelines that consider the number of students from families with economic need.
Title I also encourages strong partnerships between schools and families by offering parent workshops, learning resources, and opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s education
