Financial Services

The Duncanville Independent School District Financial Services Department is committed to supporting the core beliefs of the district through responsible financial management. We believe financial management is an ART. We must be accurate, respectful and timely. By doing so, those we support are able to reach their full potential and better serve our students, parents and community. Financial Services has a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement. We work collaboratively with campus and department leaders to improve and implement practices that ensure fiscal prudence with taxpayer dollars. We design monthly training opportunities for the district support team (administrative paraprofessionals and campus secretaries) to help them grow through engaging learning experiences. Our partnerships at all levels of the organization have resulted in the district's recognition as one of the top financially efficient districts in Texas.

Budget & Finance - Director, Shiva Peters
Ms. Peters partners with district leadership to develop and manage fiscally responsible plans that align resources with strategic priorities. Through thoughtful planning, transparent practices, and ongoing financial analysis, the team ensures the effective allocation of funds to support student success, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability across all schools and departments.

 

Purchasing - Director, Marqueis Scott 
Mr. Scott supports schools and departments by facilitating efficient, ethical, and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. By ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, the team helps maximize district resources while maintaining transparency, fostering vendor partnerships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials that support teaching, learning, and operations.
