 Human Resources Services - Director, Alexis McClendon 
Alexis leads key human resources functions for Duncanville ISD, including Substitute Services, Employee Benefits, Risk Management, and Auxiliary Services. She supports employee relations through investigative assistance, manages background checks, and oversees the hiring process for non-exempt employees, administrative management roles, and district-level staff. Alexis is also responsible for issuing the district’s annual employee handbook. She provides leadership to the department’s Auxiliary Coordinator, Substitute Specialist, Risk Manager, and Benefits Coordinator. HR Services is committed to providing exceptional support that enhances the employee experience, promotes wellness and safety, and ensures operational efficiency across the district.

Human Resources Systems - Director, Dr. Tina Nixon
Dr. Nixon leads strategic HR systems that support the recruitment, development, and retention of high-quality educators, with a focus on professional staff—including teachers, directors, and administrators. She oversees staffing and certification processes, manages the department’s Data Manager and Certification Coordinator, and serves as a key resource to campus and district leaders. Dr. Nixon builds partnerships with universities and alternative certification programs, coordinates internal and external job fairs, and collaborates on recruitment marketing efforts. She also leads the development of key HR resources, such as the district’s compensation manual, and supports initiatives like Holdsworth Vacancy Planning. Her work ensures a strong talent pipeline and a supportive workforce that drives student success.
