Operations

The Duncanville ISD Operations Department is dedicated to delivering high-quality, timely customer service to all stakeholders through a support-and-serve model. The department oversees the day-to-day operations of Nutrition Services, Maintenance, Transportation, and Warehouse Services—ensuring that all campuses and departments receive the resources and assistance needed to function effectively. Guided by the policies of the Board of Trustees and the directives of the Superintendent, Operations plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and supportive learning environment. Maintenance/Grounds/Custodial - Joe Peterka, Director
Mr. Peterka's Maintenance Department’s team, consisting of over 180 employees, is dedicated to keeping the physical structures and grounds of the district clean, functional and safe to serve the students, faculty, and staff of Duncanville ISD.

 

 

Nutrition Services - Crystal Esquivel, Director
Ms. Esquivel's 122 employees in the Duncanville ISD Nutrition Services Department are dedicated to enhancing students' academic performance while meeting or exceeding all state and federal government guidelines by serving safe, nutritious, quality meals while encouraging students to develop life-long skills and knowledge to make healthy food choices.

 

Transportation - Brad Hamrick, Director
Mr. Hamrick is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for eligible students across the district. With a dedicated team of over 100 professionals, the department ensures timely bus service that supports student access to education while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and care.

 

Warehouse - Cliff Sullivan, Coordinator 
Mr. Sullivan oversees the district’s warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, distribution, and delivery of materials and supplies. The goal is to maintain accurate inventory, streamline logistics, and provide timely support to campuses and departments.
