Bullying, Harassment, and Threats
Duncanville ISD is committed to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for all individuals by educating parents, students, and community members on bullying, harassment and school threats. Each Duncanville ISD campus has established a team, as part of the Safe and Supportive Schools Program (SSSP) that is tasked with conducting behavioral threat assessments and bullying investigations, determining the best course of action to support individuals. Harmful, threatening, or violent behavior includes behaviors, such as verbal threats, threats of self harm, bullying, cyberbullying, fighting, the use or possession of a weapon, sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating violence, stalking, or assault.
In order to maintain a safe and orderly school environment, all school personnel and students have the responsibility to report student threats of violence to school administration. To prevent a concerning behavior from escalating or possibly starting, review some tips for identifying potential threats*.
Anyone with knowledge (including parents) of harmful, threatening or violent behavior can make a report to a teacher, counselor, or campus administrator either in person or by submitting a report by clicking below. You may choose to report anonymously. All reported incidences are investigated. Investigations will determine the level of concern, assess required action and organize any necessary resources and student support strategies.
