Welcome to Pre-K Enrollment!
Student Enrollment begins on April 1st. If your child is new to Duncanville ISD and will be enrolling in Pre-K for the first time, please review the information below.

Enrollment Process for New Pre-K Students
- Submit Your Application:
The parent/guardian submits the Skyward online application with all required documents uploaded.
- Eligibility Verification:
Duncanville ISD verifies Pre-K eligibility.
- Notification:
You will be notified of your child’s Pre-K eligibility status and provided with the campus of enrollment.
- Document Review:
The registrar at the designated campus reviews the submitted documents.
- Approval:
Once everything is in order, the application is approved.
Who Can Enroll Your Child?
- Enrollment must be completed by the natural parent, legal guardian, or another person with legal control under a court order.
- The enrolling individual must provide a state or federal identification card at the time of enrollment.
Required Documents
- Birth Certificate:
Original birth certificate (or a certified copy with a certificate number), passport, or other acceptable proof of identity.
For children under age 11: Either the original/certified birth certificate or alternative proof of identity and age (e.g., passport) along with a signed statement explaining why the birth certificate is not available.
- Immunization Record:
A current immunization record signed by a physician, meeting Texas requirements.
- Proof of Residency (within 30 days of enrollment):
o Natural gas, electricity, water or internet bill; or
o Original lease/rental agreement
- Previous School Record:
If applicable, the most recent report card or withdrawal slip.
- Social Security Card:
If available (if not, a state ID number will be assigned).
- Valid Identification:
The parent’s valid driver’s license or state ID, or the guardian’s identification as required. Alternative photo ID (passport or employment ID) may be accepted if standard IDs are not available.
- Conservatorship Documentation:
A letter documenting conservatorship by the Department of Family and Protective Services (if applicable).

- Not the Natural Parent or Designated Guardian?
If you are not the natural parent or the designated guardian (as determined by a court order), you must obtain pre-approval from the office of Student Services before enrolling your child.
