Dr. Faith Nibbs

German Language and Culture

I received my Doctorate in cultural anthropology at Southern Methodist University. My researched focused on immigrant integration into Germany and the US. I met and married my husband in Germany, living there for a total of five years.  I have been on faculty at Southern Methodist University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Texas Christian University where I taught courses and led research on Germany and Europe, migration, world cultures, race and ethnicity, and human diversity.  I have written four books and numerous professional articles about immigrant integration and have had the privilege of sharing my expertise before leaders at, among other places, the World Bank, the United Nations, UNHCR, Oxford University, and for the AtlanticLive.

I am excited to bring my love for the German speaking world to Duncanville and to show students the relevance of its culture in their lives today.
