Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tarra Bates
Welcome! I am so happy your student is in my class this year. One of my favorite things to do is laugh and learn with young people. I grew up in military posts around the world because my dad was in the Army, however, my family is originally from the south, Alabama, though I was born in Florida. I have an Associates and Bachelor degrees from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, a Masters in Leadership from Mid-America Christian University, Oklahoma City and a Masters in Theology from Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, KY. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Transformational Leadership with an Emphasis in Cultural Transformation from BAKKE Graduate School, Dallas.
My teaching experience includes ELAR for 5 years in Oklahoma City, 1 year in Lancaster ISD where I taught Audio/Video Technology and Communications. Currently, I am a proud Reed Panther teaching High School Career Prep and Investigating Careers.
My husband, Ron, is a Vietnam Veteran, I have three children, and 7 grandchildren.
My goal is to excite my students about future careers and motivate them to stretch their thinking and abilities as well as recognize their heart passions in career selection.
