The mission of the Duncanville ISD Professional Development Department is to provide quality professional learning opportunities and support for all staff members in order to foster profound learning through purposeful engagement for all Duncanville ISD students.
The Professional Development Department supports this mission by promoting continuous professional growth in a supportive environment to enhance the knowledge and skills of all staff. The goal of our professional development program is to foster profound learning throughout the district. The Professional Development Department works to:
-Establish district expectations and standards in professional growth for all staff
-Provide quality professional growth opportunities for all staff members relevant to their position and role in the district
-Plan purposeful, professional growth opportunities based on district and individual goals that will maximize student achievement
-Promote a supportive environment that develops an inner spirit to improve one's craft through continuous learning.

New Principal Academy
Program Evaluation is within Duncanville’s Office of Accountability, and is charged with evaluating federal, state, and locally- funded programs in the District. We work with program staff throughout the district to design and carry out formative and summative program evaluations. The evaluations report objectively on program implementation and outcomes, and serve to inform program staff, decision makers, and planners in the district.
