The goal of Duncanville ISD’s Operations Department is to provide quality and timely customer service to all stakeholders using the support and serve model.
The Operations department directs the ongoing operations for the Nutrition Services, Maintenance, Purchasing and Warehouse, and Transportation departments, to insure timely and effective support to the campuses and departments of the Duncanville Independent School District, as outlined by the policies and directives of the Board of Trustees and the Superintendent.
Purchasing and Warehouse - Christi Courson, Director
The Duncanville ISD Purchasing and Warehouse Department staff provide guidance regarding purchasing choices for all district organizations, as well as receiving and delivery of district deliveries and mail, asset inventory management, records management, and textbook inventory.
Transportation - Brad Hamrick, Director
DISD’s Transportation Department has over 100 employees who work tirelessly to provide for safe, timely and efficient bus transportation for eligible students.
Maintenance/Grounds/Custodial - Joe Peterka, Director
The Maintenance Department’s team, consisting of over 180 employees, is dedicated to keeping the physical structures and grounds of the district clean, functional and safe to serve the students, faculty, and staff of Duncanville ISD.
Nutrition Services - Donna Thomas, Director
The 163 employees in the DISD Nutrition Services Department are dedicated to enhancing student’s academic performance, while meeting or exceeding all state and federal government guidelines, by serving safe, nutritious, quality meals while encouraging students to develop life-long skills and knowledge to make healthy food choices.
