Ms. Riles

Welcome to a new year at Hyman Elementary! I want you to know that I am so happy to have your child in my class this year. I would like to properly introduce myself. My name is Anitiala’ (A-nish-a-lay) Riles I go by Nish Riles as well.  I am a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I started working in education in 2012 as a teacher’s aide, and began teaching Kindergarten in 2013. I believe learning, education, and information are the keys needed to have a beneficial future.

One thing that I have learned from being a student and through my teaching experiences is that there are multiple ways of learning. I plan to use as many resources and hands-on activities as possible to educate your child. In our classroom we will use many different styles of learning such as kinesthetic (hands-on), auditory (listening), and visual to help reach and properly educate your child. You will be amazed at just how much your child will grow and learn this year. I can’t wait to begin planting the seeds of reading and writing that will blossom and flourish as your child continues on the path of education. We will begin laying the foundation of skills needed to become successful readers, writers, scientists, mathematicians, and thinkers. I promise, the growth that you will see in your child this year will be exponential.

I am looking forward to a fun-filled year of helping your child become a successful Kindergartener. I am also looking forward to working alongside you in order for your child to reach his/her highest potential. Your role as a parent is of utmost importance. A child who reads at home with his/her parents is more likely to succeed in all academic areas. Please allow your child to see your enthusiasm for learning as you read to your child and he/she reads to you. The success of your child greatly depends upon you. READ, READ, READ!!!!!!
