All student transfer requests, whether in-district or out-of-district, must be submitted by the specified deadlines:

• Transfer requests for the fall semester will be accepted from March 1 to July 15 of each academic year. The requests will be reviewed based on the order of submission, but no later than the first day of school.
• Transfer requests for the spring semester will be accepted between October 1 and November 30 of each school year. The requests will be reviewed based on the order of submission, but no later than the first week of January.
• Late Applications: Requests submitted outside of the designated windows may take up to 30 school days for review. Immediate enrollment may only be considered in extenuating circumstances, for newly hired employees, or for justifiable needs.
• Intra-District Transfers: These are considered on a case-by-case basis and typically require extenuating circumstances or special needs.
• Superintendent Adjustments: The Superintendent may adjust dates and guidelines based on the district's best interests.

• General Approval: The Superintendent may approve or reject any transfer requests without regard to race, religion, color, sex, disability, national origin, or ancestral language.
• Resident Student Transfers: A resident student who becomes a nonresident during a semester may continue attendance for the remainder of the semester.
• Nonresident Student Transfers: A nonresident student must file an application each school year to transfer into the district.
• Transfer Duration: Transfers are granted for one regular school year at a time.
• Approval Considerations: Transfers are evaluated based on space availability, instructional staff, and the student's academic, attendance, and disciplinary records.
• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Good academic standing
  • 90% attendance rate
  • Positive disciplinary record
• Agreement to Rules: Transfer students and guardians must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct and Student Handbook. Violations may lead to revocation of the transfer.
• Tuition Fees: Out-of-district students may be required to pay tuition, as set by the Board. Tuition may be waived for financial hardship upon written request.
• No District Transportation: Transfer students are not provided with district transportation.
• DAEP Students: Transfer students assigned to the DAEP Summit may have their transfer status revoked.

To submit a transfer application, non-resident students must provide the following documents:

1. Parent/Guardian Photo ID
2. Proof of Address Verification (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement)
3. Disciplinary Record for the most recent full school year. If transferring mid-year, provide the most recent semester's and prior school year's records. If there are no disciplinary referrals, attach a school letter or email confirming this.
4. Attendance Records
   • Provide your child’s attendance records for the most recent school year.
   • If attendance is already included in the report card, you may attach the report card itself.
   • If you are requesting a transfer mid-year, provide the attendance records for the most recent semester and the prior school year.
5. Most Recent Report Card or Transcript
   • Provide your child’s most recent report card or transcript.
   • If transferring mid-year, provide the most recent semester's report card/transcript as well as the previous school year's.
6. Special Education Documentation (if applicable)
   If your child receives special education services, you must include a copy of the following:
   • Most recent Annual ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal)
   • Full Individual Evaluation (FIE)
   • Individualized Education Program (IEP)

Note: Your application will not be considered without the required documents or requested information.
