FUTURE LEADERS ACADEMY
Duncanville ISD and the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) partnered to bring a new leadership opportunity designed to develop future leaders to serve in our schools. Educators will work to earn a master’s degree in Educational Leadership provided through UNT Dallas. For qualified candidates, Duncanville ISD will cover 50% of tuition costs. UNT Dallas is touted as the most affordable university in DFW.

The School of Education's Educational Leadership department offers a robust 30-semester hour Master's degree program that prepares students with the skills and knowledge required for leadership careers at campus or central office administration positions. Graduates will earn their Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) certification and be prepared to earn their Texas Principal Certificate following this program.

Selection of candidates:
-
Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree.
-
3.0 GPA on the last 60 undergraduate semester hours of work prior to receiving the bachelor’s degree, or a 2.8 GPA on all undergraduate work.

Two years of classroom teaching experience.

Have demonstrated leadership skills on their campus or in previous positions.

Committed to the personal investment required to obtain a Master’s degree.
