Future Leaders Academy
For qualified candidates: The University of North Texas at Dallas is offering $5,000 scholarships to the first 10 Duncanville ISD candidates accepted into the Principal Certification Program. Each recipient will receive $1,000 per semester for five semesters. The remaining tuition balance each semester will be shared equally between the candidate and the district, with a 50/50 cost split.

The School of Education's Educational Leadership department offers a robust 30-semester hour Master's degree program that prepares students with the skills and knowledge required for leadership careers at campus or central office administration positions. Graduates will earn their Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) certification and be prepared to earn their Texas Principal Certificate following this program.

Selection of candidates:
-
Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree.
-
3.0 GPA on the last 60 undergraduate semester hours of work prior to receiving the bachelor’s degree, or a 2.8 GPA on all undergraduate work.

Two years of classroom teaching experience.

Have demonstrated leadership skills on their campus or in previous positions.

Committed to the personal investment required to obtain a Master’s degree.
