Band students advance to Area, sending the most district musicians in the region

The Duncanville High School band adds another standout achievement to their legacy. The high school has 17 students advancing to area auditions after competing in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-Region virtual auditions held December 5 through 9. With 17 musicians, DHS has the most students in Region 20 continuing to Area.

The virtual event was the first step toward All-State competition, where the best high school band students are selected to rehearse and perform at the 2021 TMEA Clinic and Convention. The annual event will be held virtually due to the pandemic, but the road to state remains rigorous and requires hard work and dedication.

The 17 students will participate virtually in Area competition on January 9, 2021.

Congratulations to the following students who have advanced to the Area auditions.
