The Duncanville ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2021-2022 Academic Calendar.
The Calendar Planning Process began in December, when a committee of teachers, principals, parents and others participated in a series of meetings to determine calendar priorities. The committee’s input led to the development of three sample calendars. Those sample calendars were then published by email, district website, e-newsletters and social media for staff and community feedback.
A primary factor considered by the Calendar Planning Committee was the need for more instruction time. A total of 1,236 people provided input by selecting their preferred calendar. That information along with comments submitted by staff and community were provided to the trustees prior to their vote.
