Duncanville ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2022-2023 Calendar at the March 21 meeting. The board chose calendar option B, which received the most votes after a committee presented options to Duncanville ISD parents and staff. The calendar committee comprised of students, staff, and parents met to create three calendar options.
After presenting to parents and staff calendar options, options were voted on, and Option B received the most votes.
The 2022-2023 school year will begin for students Monday, August 8, and end May 26.
The calendar selected has the following breaks: Fall Break from October 10-14, Thanksgiving break from November 21-25, Winter Break from December 23 until January 6, and Spring Break from March 13-17.
The calendar will also have four early release days, which are the following days: September 23, November 4, December 22, and February 17.
Duncanville ISD staff will have professional development and work days at the beginning and end of the school year.
