Clayton Brookins joins Duncanville High School as Head Track Coach. He brings with him a winning record as a former athlete and track coach.
Brookins was an All-American at Texas Christian University in the outdoor 4x400 relay in 1998. That same year he ran what was then the fastest time (50.90) in school history in the outdoor 400 hurdles. That time now ranks second on TCU’s all-time list.
In the last nine years, athletes coached by Mr. Brookins brought home seven gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals from the University Interscholastic League State Track and Field Meet.
“I am very humbled and excited to be a part of such a winning environment in Duncanville,” Coach Brookins said.
Mr. Brookins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Recreational Leadership from Texas Christian University.
