Class of 2022 Panther Artist Graduates with State, National Wins


Carolina Fletcher's artistic prowess did not go unnoticed during her time in Duncanville ISD. Fletcher, Class of 2022 Duncanville High School graduate, won the District Art Show, earning a Gold Seal at the State VASE competition. She also received third place in photography at the Young American Talent Art Competition during her senior year.

Most recently, the AP art scholar won the Congressional Art Competition. Now, Fletcher will travel with her winning piece to Washington, D.C., to represent Duncanville ISD, where she'll be celebrated by members of Congress and the Congressional Art Committee. Her work will also be featured on the Congressional Art Competition website. 


 
"We are proud of Carolina and her accomplishments," said William Young, Duncanville ISD Director of Fine Arts. "The district's visual arts program has grown and evolved to produce exceptionally talented artists like Miss Fletcher. We can't wait to see what she does next."
