Director of Nursing Draws on Two Decades of Experience as School Nurse

Maelene Grant is the district’s new Director of Nursing with 21 years of experience as a registered nurse.

Mrs. Grant moves to the leadership position from within the district where she has been a school nurse since 2016. Prior to that, Mrs. Grant was employed as a nurse educator and lead nurse at Parkland Health & Hospital Systems. She also served many years as a school nurse/lead nurse in Lancaster ISD.

Mrs. Grant earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Savannah, Georgia.
