Please help us welcome Mark Teal as the new Duncanville High School band director. Teal will start his new position on July 11, but Teal is not new to the district. He has been serving the district in the fine arts department since 2005. Teal was once the assistant band director at Reed Middle School until he ascended to the assistant band director for the high school. Before coming to DISD, Teal worked in Plano ISD at Clark High School as an assistant director of bands. He’s additionally served as an adjudicator for the Drum Corps International, instructor for the Santa Clara Vanguard, and instructor for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Teal has 19 years of experience in education. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of North Texas. Congratulations, Mr. Teal!
