Duncanville ISD is honored to announce that the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) has selected Duncanville ISD Board of Trustees as the 2021-2022 Region 10 Outstanding School Board of the Year.
Region 10 is one of the largest education service centers in the state with 130 school districts, private schools and charters. The recognition is a testament to the hard work our board members are doing to support our students, staff and the community.
“It’s really exciting to represent Duncanville ISD and the City of Champions,” said Board President Janice Savage-Martin. “It definitely takes a team. It’s teamwork within the school board, the school’s leadership team and [superintendent] Dr. Smith.”
The Duncanville ISD Board of Trustees is one of 15 Texas school district boards of trustees selected as regional nominees for the 2021 TASA School Board Awards. Finalists will be selected at a TASA Awards Committee meeting in August. Those finalists will be interviewed in Dallas at the TASA/Texas Association of School Boards Convention on September 24, and the 2021-2022 School Board of the Year for the entire state will be announced September 25.
