Head Football Coach Reginald Samples and his team took the entire community on a thrilling ride to the 2019 State Championship game. For a second straight season, the Duncanville Panthers demonstrated talent, perseverance and grit to finish the season undefeated throughout district games and preliminary rounds of playoffs.

The team took on Galena Park North Shore in the state championship game on Saturday, Dec. 14 without star quarterback Ja'Quinden Jackson who was injured in the State Semifinals against Rockwall. The Panthers fought a tough battle against North Shore led by freshman quarterback Chris Parson, but fell short of the title. The final score was 31-17.

Coach Samples told his players he wanted them to end their season they way they started it, with their heads held high.
