Former Pantherette Named to Naismith Hall of Fame

On Saturday, April 4, former Duncanville Pantherette Tamika Catchings was officially elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2020.

On Saturday, April 4, former Duncanville Pantherette Tamika Catchings was officially elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2020. The honor celebrates  Catchings’ incredible WNBA career, which spanned 15 seasons and included a long list of achievements.

In 2016, Catchings was named to the WNBA Top 20 Players in the leagues 20-year history. In her 14-year career she was a 10-time All-Star, 4-time Olympic gold medalist and all-time leader in steals.

Catchings, who played for the Indiana Fever from 2002-16, is now general manager and vice president of basketball operations with the franchise.
