The Duncanville High Hats earned top marks at The Metroplex Dance Spectacular at Mansfield High School last month.
The Duncanville High Hats earned top marks at The Metroplex Dance Spectacular at Mansfield High School last month.
The High Hats’ six routines – three officer routines and three team routines – all earned Division I ratings and a Sweepstakes Award. Both groups also earned the coveted Gussie Nell Davis Award for scoring a 93 and above from the entire judging panel.
The Team Pom routine, choreographed by director Kristi Beaty earned a Judges’ Award for scoring 94 and above from all judges. The Team Lyrical also earned a Wow Factor Award.
The High Hats were also awarded the Sportsmanship Award which was voted on by other teams at the contest.
The High Hats are looking forward to and preparing for their Spring Show on April 17 and 18. They are under the direction of Kristi Beaty and assisted by Neosha White.
