National School Lunch Application Qualifies Families for Expanded Benefits

Students in Duncanville ISD will receive free meals for the 2021-2022 school year without filling out an application. There are other benefits available beyond free and reduced lunches. However, those benefits can only be received by signing up through School Cafe, so everyone is still encouraged to apply.

Those who qualify may receive Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfers (P-EBT), which is money that comes from the government to pay for food. It is not known at this time if the P-EBT program will continue for the 2021-22 school year.
Students may be provided discounted college application fees and reduced registration fees for AP, SAT and ACT tests as well as free or discounted fees to participate in athletic activities.
Families may qualify for discounted rates on internet services and schools may receive additional funding for state and federal programs and services.
