**New Spring Break Dates**
Spring break for the 2024-25 school year will now be observed from March 10-14, 2025. This adjustment moves the dates up by one week from the originally scheduled dates of March 17-21.
**Reason for Adjustment**
This change is due to recent adjustments in the spring break schedule at Dallas College, our valued partner in providing dual credit courses to our students. Aligning our spring break with Dallas College allows us to better support the needs of our students, including transportation, nutrition, and supervision.
**Considerations and Confirmation**
Please be assured that Duncanville ISD carefully evaluates numerous factors when designing our school year calendars, including coordination with our educational partners. Initially, we had confirmed identical spring break dates with Dallas College for 2025. However, their recent scheduling adjustment necessitated this change.
**Communication and Transparency:**
We understand that spring break is a significant time for family plans and vacations. Therefore, we wanted to communicate this adjustment promptly to our parents, staff, and stakeholders to ensure everyone has ample time to adjust their plans accordingly.
