Enrollment Process for New Students (K-12)
Welcome to Duncanville ISD!
Student Enrollment begins on March 22nd. For detailed enrollment information, please contact your child's school. To locate the school your child will attend, use the link to review the attendance boundaries for your address.
Enrollment Process for New Students (K-12)
- Submit Your Application:
The parent/guardian submits the Skyward online application with all required documents uploaded. - Documents Review:
The campus registrar reviews the submitted documents. - Follow-Up:
If any enrollment documents are missing, the campus registrar will contact you. - Approval:
Once everything is in order, the application is approved.
Who Can Enroll Your Child?
- Enrollment must be completed by the natural parent, legal guardian, or another person with legal control under a court order.
- The enrolling person must present a state or federal identification card at the time of enrollment.
- A student aged 18 or older who is living independently must present proof of age and complete the necessary form in the office of Student Services before enrolling.
Required Documents
- Birth Certificate:
Original birth certificate (or a certified copy with a certificate number issued by the state), passport, or other acceptable proof of identity.
For students under age 11: Provide either the original/certified birth certificate or alternative proof of identity and age (e.g., passport) along with a signed statement explaining the absence of the birth certificate. - Immunization Record:
A current immunization record signed by a physician. (Documents must meet Texas requirements.) - Proof of Residency (within 30 days of enrollment):
o Natural gas, electricity, water or internet bill; or
o Original lease/rental agreement
- Previous School Record:
Most recent report card or withdrawal slip from the previous school. - Social Security Card:
If available. (If not, a state ID number will be assigned.) - High School Transcript:
(If applicable.) - Valid Identification:
The parent’s valid driver’s license, state ID, or guardian information form plus the guardian’s driver’s license or federal/state ID. If these are not available, other photo identification (such as a passport or employment ID) may be accepted. - Conservatorship Documentation:
A letter documenting conservatorship from the Department of Family and Protective Services (if applicable).

Student Enrollment begins on April 1st. If your child is new to Duncanville ISD and will be enrolling in Pre-K for the first time, please review the information below.

Enrollment Process for New Pre-K Students
- Submit Your Application:

Duncanville ISD verifies Pre-K eligibility. - Notification:
You will be notified of your child’s Pre-K eligibility status and provided with the campus of enrollment. - Document Review:
The registrar at the designated campus reviews the submitted documents. - Approval:
Once everything is in order, the application is approved.

Welcome Back!
If your student is already enrolled in Duncanville ISD, annual registration is required each school year.
Key Information:
- Annual Registration Availability:
Annual registration will be available starting March 22nd through Skyward Family Access.
Returning Student Registration Process
- Online Application:
Complete the online application through Skyward Family Access. - Upload Proof of Residency:
Provide updated proof of residency through Skyward Family Access. - Automatic Approval:
- If no changes are made, the registration may be automatically approved.
- If changes are made, the campus registrar reviews the submitted documents.
- Follow-Up:
The registrar will contact you if any required documents are missing, including updated legal/court documents (i.e., foster care, guardianship or any other special circumstances) - Final Approval:
Once everything is confirmed, the registration is approved.
