Summer Support Program

The Summer Support Program (SSP) is a three-week in-person program designed to close learning gaps and strengthen the student's academic foundation.  Teachers will provide students, PK-12th grade with additional support that will promote student success in the upcoming grade level.  In Grades PK-8, teachers will teach and review critical foundational skills for the student's current grade level.  In Grades 9-12, teachers will provide End-of-Course (EOC) preparation.  If you have any questions please contact the Duncanville ISD Summer School department by email at

Students are required to attend SSP based on course failures, attendance requirements, for not taking STAAR Assessment, or to provide COVID Compensatory Education.  Students are recommended to attend SSP for intervention based on student performance on the Istation's Indicator of Progress (ISIP) for Grades 1-2 and Interim Assessment for Grades 3-8.  If you have any questions regarding your student's SSP status, please email the Duncanville ISD Summer School department by email at  Please include your student's name, home campus, and grade level in. your inquiry.
