Application for Champions for Duncanville Citizens' Facility Advisory Committee

The Duncanville ISD Board of Trustees and administration plan to reconvene the Champions for Duncanville Citizens' Facility Advisory Committee to evaluate, assess, prioritize, and report their findings on future capital project needs for the district. This committee will be charged to make a recommendation to address potential needs. 

Meeting Dates & Times

• Committee Members will be notified by September 11 if they are selected to participate.

• In-Person Committee Meetings: All meetings are from 6 to 8 p.m., with an optional dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. Meetings will be held at various Duncanville ISD campuses and facilities. Exact meeting locations will be shared once you have been approved to serve as a committee member.

• Meeting #1: Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026

• Meeting #2: Tuesday, Oct. 6 2026

• Meeting #3: Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026

• Meeting #4: Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2026

• Meeting #5: Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2026

• Meeting #6 (if needed): Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2027

Applications will be reviewed, and participants will be selected to ensure the committee has stakeholders with a variety of interests and representation from across the community. All applicants must live within the Duncanville ISD attendance boundaries.

The deadline to complete this application is Aug. 31, 2026. Those who are not selected will be placed in a pool of alternates.   

On November 7, 2023, the Duncanville ISD community supported a $170 million bond package which included two propositions that will generate funding to address priority maintenance and security needs, reconfigure campuses to create an early childhood center, add more choice options for families, update Duncanville HS, expand career and technical education programs at the high school, and replace buses over 16 years old. We are grateful for the support and will keep our community informed of our progress as we move forward with the bond projects.

Proposition A includes architectural renovations for grade alignment, Career & Technical Education expansion at Duncanville High School, replacement of HVAC systems and roofs districtwide, school bus replacements, safety and security updates at all campuses, ADA compliance updates, exterior improvements and repairs, fuel tank replacement, and technology infrastructure and network upgrades.

Proposition B is for interactive monitors that would replace digital projectors at all schools and District facilities.
