The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund is authorized by Congress to address the needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Texas Education Agency will administer the funding to Duncanville ISD in three phases, totaling approximately $25 million. The district intends to use the funds to pay for learning acceleration, safety and health, infrastructure improvements and teacher recruitment and retention. Note - Due to the changing guidelines in relation to COVID-19, elements of the continuity plan may be altered to meet the current needs of students, parents/guardians and staff. The most current information regarding safety guidelines and processes will be in the "Health and Safety" section of the district's Back to School webpage.
