Three Duncanville High School seniors recently received special recognition as National Hispanic Scholars.
The students, Chase Anderson, Jacob Hernandez and Gilberto Hernandez, qualified for the honor based on their scores on the Preliminary SAT (PSAT), National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) and their cumulative grade point average.
Every year the National Hispanic Recognition Program recognizes 5,000 of the 250,000 Hispanic/Latino juniors who take the test. The College Board’s National Hispanic Recognition Program is an academic honor that can be included on college applications. Colleges use this program to identify academically exceptional Hispanic/Latino students.
