Central Elementary Rallies to Support Student with Cancer
Multiple fundraisers this year have allowed Central Elementary School to donate almost $4,000 to one of its students who is battling cancer.
Brenda Mora, a fourth grader at Central, was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. Recently, she has been in and out of the hospital and is currently in hospice care. Brenda’s mom has two other children, and she recently lost her job due to time spent at the hospital caring for her daughter.
The staff and students at Central Elementary wanted to help the Mora family, so they held a dessert raffle, an ice cream social for students and parents, sold hope bracelets in Brenda’s favorite color and created a Go Fund Me account for her family. If you would like to make a contribution to the Mora family to help with their medical and living expenses, you can make a donation through their Go Fund Me page.
