Duncanville ISD Board of Trustees Meeting Summary

Every month the Duncanville ISD Board of Trustees convenes a regular meeting to publicly address the business of the school district. Community members and business partners are encouraged to attend and participate. There is a public speaking section during every meeting that provides an opportunity for anyone to share positive feedback or concerns. However, the board is unable to take action on any item that is not already included on the meeting’s agenda.
Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at the Duncanville ISD Education Plaza (710 S. Cedar Ridge Drive). A highlight of board decisions at this month’s meeting on Monday, January 22, 2018, included:
Board of Trustees Recognized for Service, Dedication
January is School Board Recognition Month and Duncanville ISD joins schools districts across the state in recognizing our outstanding School Board Trustees.
Our Trustees set the vision and policy for the district while overseeing a $131 million general fund budget for 12,700 students, 1,700 employees and 18 schools.
Duncanville ISD school board members receive no pay, but spend countless hours attending meetings, listening to concerns and being true public servants to ensure our students receive the best education possible.
During last night’s meeting, Daniel Intermediate students performed songs and shared their appreciation for the Board.
