Duncanville ISD’s Communications Department brought home the gold and silver from this year’s Texas School Public Relations Conference. Every one of the department’s submissions placed in the top two categories for a total of 10 awards.
Digital Specialist Kris Hill took the top award in the state for a flyer she created in Spanish to advertise the district’s pre-Kindergarten registration - “Rodeo de Pre-K.” The ‘Best of Category’ honor is given to one submission chosen from those that placed in the gold category. Hill’s video and advertising submissions also received gold and silver honors.
Director of External Communications Lari Barager received a gold award for photography. Barager’s writing and submissions demonstrating media coverage of district stories were awarded silver designations.
Communications Specialist Brooke Rawlinson was awarded gold for her work on the Duncanville ISD Education Foundation’s ‘Heart of Duncanville 5k’ campaign.
